PortaBase

PortaBase is a database program for creating, browsing, and editing single-table data files. Notable features include the ability to change the columns at any time, views of column subsets, multi-column sorting, multi-condition filtering, CSV import and export, XML import and export, and column summary statistics. Typical uses are media inventories, reference charts, shopping lists, and TODO lists.

    Release Notes: This release fixes a number of issues on the Nokia N900, adds a few useful new features like HTML exportation, makes some improvements to the file properties and column statistics dialogs, makes the help files easier to read and use, and makes it significantly easier for translators to contribute to the project.

      Release Notes: Two minor bugs were fixed.

        Release Notes: All issues with the last beta were fixed, including a file creation regression, a rare crash bug, an occasional problem with print preview, and a few other minor bugs. Translations were also updated. Unless a significant number of bugs is reported with this release, the next one will be 2.0 final.

          Release Notes: All serious issues reported from use of the previous beta were fixed. Fixed features include XML and MobileDB import, image slideshows, read-only files, locale-aware handling of decimal numbers, and opening files from the command line or double clicks.

            Release Notes: Support was added for Maemo (Diablo and Fremantle) and Mac OS X, but development on the Zaurus has stopped. Printing support and fullscreen mode were added. A large assortment of usability improvements and visual fixes were made.
