Release Notes: The documentation rewrite reached its complete first-draft milestone. An estimated 120 pages have been revised for this release. Compatibility issues and platform-specific edge cases, where identified, have been resolved. This includes the notorious F_GETFL and F_SETFL prototype mismatch warnings on Windows. Release Notes: The mandatory signal warnings became errors, as per the signal reforms schedule on the Web site. Performance was enhanced, mainly by increasing default block and buffer sizes. Wheel::ReadWrite watermarks were also fixed for better streaming. Windows support was enhanced. A lot of effort was spent making POE conform to ActiveState's automated PPD build framework. Initial support was added for user-extensibility. Pluggable APIs, event loops, and back-end data resources were added.
Release Notes: Internal inconsistencies and memory leaks were fixed. Documentation was improved. Minor features were added. Everyone is recommended to upgrade, especially if they have noticed memory bloat or "internal inconsistency" crashes.
