Plumi

Plumi is a video sharing content management system based on Plone. It enables you to create your own sophisticated video sharing site. By adding it to an existing Plone instance you can quickly have a wide array of functionality to facilitate video distribution and community creation.

Release Notes: This is a major new stable version that includes bugfixes and improvements primarily focused on rebasing Plumi on Plone 4, plus improvements and refactoring of Plumi including new production and development buildouts located inside the plumi.app egg, an updated caching system, cleanup of installation code and moving parts to GenericSetup, replacing older products with newer and better maintained products or removing dependencies, and other improvements. FFmpeg and codecs required by the transcoding framework are also now included in the buildout, which means a simpler installation process.

Release Notes: Upgraded to Plone 3.3.5. Thumbnail auto-creation from video. Large uploads (FTP). HTML 5 support + Ogg version for download or playing in the browser. Improved large file handling. A new transcoding framework. Updated to the latest flowplayer. Video duration auto extracted. Indonesian interface translation and built in content translation. Content ratings. Increased flash player size/quality. Add related items, location information, and language. Auto-notifications on retraction/rejection of content. A new design. AJAX-ification of commenting, including profile thumbnails.

Release Notes: ATVideo product bugfixes, including fixing the CallOuts content type. Improvements were made for integrating with other Plone 3rd party products, RSS2 feeds on events, and news smart folders. Indytube, the video transcoding engine, was upgraded to work with Flowplayer 2.2.4. A 'same name - different file extension' bug was fixed. More video file types are transcoded by default, including FLV and DIVX. Bugs with event subscribers were fixed in PlumiSkin, so automatically generated emails are sent correctly upon review and publishing of content.
