Release Notes: New output formating and a partial fix for the Naive Sign and Encrypt problem have been implemented. The documentation has been updated. Pine is no longer confused by errors produced by the encryption backend; errors are reported to the user. Mktemp is now recommended but not required. The build process has been fixed and improved. PinePGP should now work much better on Solaris (but bash, not just sh, has to be installed). For users of version 0.17.3, there are no technical reasons to upgrade.

Release Notes: Typos in Makefile.in which caused incorrect builds of pinepgp5x and pinepgp65x have been fixed. Users of the pinegpg and pinepgp26x filters are not affected. Requirements information (mktemp) has been fixed in the README. configure.in is now included in the tarball.

Release Notes: The build process has been updated, especially the 'configure' part. It should behave properly if some vital requirement is not fulfiled. A check for 'bash' has been added, as 'bash' is the key requirement of bash scripts.

Release Notes: The C preprocessor is used to "build" scripts. Filters now add horizontal rules at the begining and end of signed and/or encrypted messages, so it is more clear what's signed/encrypted and what's not. Filters now also do not pass an error to Pine when a message is checked, so (for example) Pine does not lock when a signed message is checked if the key of the signer is not in keyring. Filters should now work under Solaris.

Release Notes: Incorporation of Red Hat's patch to pinepgpgpg-install, user-contributed patches for Solaris, the author's public key is part of tarball, and the README contains information about both his new and old keys.

Release Notes: Since the last stable release, support for encrypting to multiple recipients and the ability to encrypt to yourself have been added. Upgrade note: the filter configuration in .pinerc has changed, so users who are upgrading must run the install script again. Additionaly, autoconf is used in the build process, and the install process has been reworked so that only required items are installed.

Release Notes: 'Recode' sed command has been removed from GnuPG filter (it appears to no longer be necessary anymore). Missing 'exec_prefix' has been added into Makefile.in and the install process has been re-worked so only configured items are installed, which should also fix all installation errors reported till now. If there are no show stopping bugs, this will become a stable release.

Release Notes: Support for multiple recipients has been added, followed closely by an "encrypt to yourself" feature (so you can now decrypt messages which you sent encrypted to someone else). Also, the temporary directory has been changed so that users should have better security.
