Pincaster

Pincaster is designed to conveniently store objects with arbitrary properties and 2D geographic positions. Records can then be retrieved by a center point and a radius (proximity) or rectangular zones (maps view), thus making it a great helper for geolocalized applications.

    Release Notes: Related records can now be retrieved using special properties acting like symbolic links.

      Release Notes: Range queries on keys are now supported. In addition, Pincaster can now act as a Web server and directly serve documents stored in special records properties. Also, some bug fixes related to distance computations in geographic searches have been fixed.

        Release Notes: Expiration times on stored keys are now supported. Hence, in addition to geographic search, Pincaster can now be used as an alternative to memcache that provides on-disk persistence and speaks HTTP/JSON. Timestamps have been added to the journal in order to ease point in time recovery.
