Projects / PilotManager

PilotManager is a tool that allows you to synchronize databases on your 3Com PalmPilot with applications on your Unix platform. It is a full Hotsync daemon that is user extensible. Developers can write their own conduits to synchronize Pilot databases with the desktop application of their choice.

Release Notes: This version includes a long list of bugfixes and some changes to make the code easier to maintain and a few minor improvements. A bug was fixed in several conduits that caused major data loss if the connection to the pilot was lost during a sync. Compatibility with pilot-link 0.12.0-pre2 was added. Among other benefits, this brings libusb support, which means you can finally sync via USB on Solaris.

      Pilot Manager
Downloading all components and following the instructions to the letter yields nothing more than:

      Can't load '/download/palm/pm/pilotmgr/lib/perl5/i386-linux/auto/Tk/' for module Tk: /download/palm/pm/pilotmgr/lib/perl5/i386-linux/auto/Tk/ undefined symbol: Perl_tainted at /usr/lib/perl5/i386-linux/5.00404/ line 166. at (eval 1) line 1
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at (eval 1) line 1.

It also claims that instructions can be found in README.porting, though no useful information is found there.
