Release Notes: PHP 5 support and PEAR or download installation. Hundreds of bugfixes since 1.2.2. If you're running PHP 4.4.0 or higher, you'll need to run this version to fix reference bugs.
Release Notes: Several critical bugs were discovered in the implementation of HighlightParser, post-processing of tutorials. In addition, the algorithm used to find file-level documentation was changed to be more natural. To use the PEAR installer for phpdocumentor, you must apply a patch to PEAR.
Release Notes: This release contains a large number of important bugfixes and feature enhancements, including a new tokenizer-based parser that is twice as fast as the old parser (requires PHP 4.3.0+), highlight parsing and cross-referencing with documentation of source code in HTML, and PDF with customizable templating. External user-level manual parsing and generation allows cross-linking between API docs and DocBook-format tutorials/manuals. Also added were a number of new HTML templates and a new Web interface.
Release Notes: For PHP 4.3.0 users, the new tokenizer-based parser is between 2-11 times faster than the old parser. Tutorial specification allows the creation of package-level, subpackage-level, class-level, and even file-level documentation with the ability to link to external documentation from the API and to the API documentation from the external documentation. Many improvements were made to all output converters.
Release Notes: All remaining bugs from the RC releases have been fixed. There is a new Converter architecture allowing for more output formats, 8 different HTML templates, and alpha quality support for PDF and CHM output. You can write new templates using the Smarty Engine.
Release Notes: Fixes were made for all the bugs found in RC1, and 3 new output options were added (PDF, CHM, and a new HTML template using the Smarty template engine). The new outptus are still alpha quality, and the memory corruption problems when parsing large projects also seem to be fixed.
Release Notes: This release is 25% faster than 1.0. It has a number of new features, including documenting global variables and static function variables. Output converters were also added, which makes writing a Converter for other output formats much simpler. There is a pre-alpha PDF Converter to demonstrate the facility. There were a number of bugs fixed as well.
Release Notes: In this release 60 bugs have been fixed and many new features have been added. Some important changes include the addition of intermediary parsing structures that nearly double parsing speed and allow for the new Converter class to process output, improved class inheritance and package handling, an error and warning system, and improved inline documentation and external documentation.
Release Notes: A new ability to parse any project documented with the parser from phpdoc.de in mind, as well as projects that will make phpdoc.de's parser choke. PhpDocumentor is fully ready to parse any project.
