Projects / phorSale

phorSale is a very basic Web and database e-commerce application. It features session-based order ("shopping cart") with session variables stored in cookies and URLs, user recognition via a unique identifer stored in a cookie and URL, "Lost Password" functionality, a placed order history viewer, dynamic shipping pricing generated by product weight from UPS and Federal Express (or by the use of a customer's own UPS/FedEx shipping number), and product searching by keywords, descriptions and titles. It has customizable HTML header/footer and product categories, a password-protected administrative interface, and product management to add, edit, delete, activate, and deactivate products via an admin interface. It provides credit card number/date validation, a CyberCash "wrapper" to parse responses from a local CGI, and the ability to edit stored profile information such as addresses, password, and email prefs.
