PesterCat

PesterCat is a Web testing tool that was designed to perform functional testing for Web applications. It features an integrated proxy recorder that enables you to record scripts using your favorite Web browser. Its key features include recording and playback of HTTP Web requests, an XML script format, SQL database validations using JDBC, variables and variable setters, and Ant tasks that automate testing.

    Release Notes: This release adds recording/playback configuration options in preferences. It adds a test button to the file data list dialog. It adds the configFileLocation option to the playback Ant task. There are several other minor bugfixes.

      Release Notes: CommitTask was added to the PesterCat Ant Toolkit. CommitTask provides a way to upload results to PesterCat DataBox. A bug where accelerator keys didn't work until the edit menu was clicked was fixed.

            Release Notes: An option to force acceptance of self signed SSL certificates during playback was added. An option for requests to follow redirects was added. An issue on playback report where post run variables list did not correctly display the variables after the script run was fixed. An issue where "multipart/form-data" requests could fail in some configurations was fixed. A word wrap was added to the description field on the Notes page of the playback report. tutorial.xml was added to the PesterCat Ant toolkit.
