Release Notes: The 7z front-end was updated to the 4.48 release. By default, archives are now named after the selected object. In the Linux version, and issue with the GNOME desktop environment passing %20 instead of space character in filenames was fixed. A Debian package is now available.
Release Notes: Frontends were added for QUAD 1.12 and UPX 3.0. The size of the Linux version was reduced by about 4 MB. Keyboard shortcuts were added. The -add2zipmail, -add2sfx7zmail, and -add27zmail quick functions were added to send archives to a compatible mail client. The Pea executable look and feel was updated. New options were added to save default compression/extraction paths and to save archive browser settings. A bug in saving default archiving format and a bug in handling relative filenames were fixed.
Release Notes: This update introduces many usability and functionality updates suggested by users, as well updates in the look and feel of the application, including new multiple resolution icons. Notably, a job's graphic wrapper now features a progress bar and stop button. Password related fields are now better placed and password text can be hidden (requiring password confirmation) or shown. A missing password is automatically requested when extracting an encrypted archive. Quick functions were created to add each input object to a separate zip or 7z archive from a context menu.
Release Notes: The PAQ frontend was updated and support was added to PAQ8L. The QUAD frontend was updated and QUAD 1.07 was replaced with 1.09. The "Extract and..." functions were fixed if a directory is selected. A bug in the dynamic updating of comboboxes in the Linux version was fixed. In Linux, it is also possible to choose fine grained compression options for 7z supported formats. PeaZip and Pea were recompiled using W.E.'s crc_hash_2007-03-07 unit. The media collection (graphics and icons) in the source package was updated.
Release Notes: This update is focused on giving the program more usability through many UI improvements and fixes. The Windows version now also runs fine on 9x systems. The most frequently used functions, such as adding to an archive or extracting to the current location are accessible from shortcuts in the SendTo menu. The Windows installer now asks whether to create additional file associations. A Gtk2 build and the traditional build for Gtk1 are now also available for Linux. Both Linux versions are standalone.
