PatentMailer

patentmailer is an easy-to-use CGI and command-line script that fetches the image files for a patent so that you can easily receive a PDF file of the patent by email. This is useful for investigating the patents that a company holds or is trying to claim.

    Release Notes: Updated to work with the new direct access method for regular (utility) patents and design patents. Pregrant publication access temporarily disabled.

      Release Notes: This release supports retrieval of pregrant publications, obtaining of US Patent Applications before they issue as US patents, and access to issued design patents. This release also includes some code clean-ups to support CVS, and the removal of old code from the bash version.

          Release Notes: PatentMailer is being rewritten in Perl to improve portability. Some shortcuts to retrieving the image files from the USPTO Web server have been added.

            Release Notes: This release fixes some bash-related syntax bugs found on FreeBSD. It also incorporates pat2html for placing a patent up onto your own Web server as images and linked pages.
