pam_radius_auth is the PAM to RADIUS authentication module. It allows any PAM capable machine to become a RADIUS client for authentication and accounting requests. You will need to supply your own RADIUS server to perform the actual authentication.
Release Notes: This release fixes handling of passwords, which caused the module to not work on RH9.0. A dummy pam_sm_acct_mgmt() function, which is needed by pppd 2.4, has been added. The allowed length of user names has been increased.
Release Notes: The ability to do retries was added. Patches to build on GNU Hurd were applied. Other miscellaneous bugfixes were made.
Release Notes: A bug which would prevent the module from working if no PAM options were given was corrected.
Release Notes: Checking that the response packet ID matches the request ID, using Calling-Station-Id instead of Login-IP-Host for the host name, logging more errors, and additional minor bugfixes.
Release Notes: Initial freshmeat announcement.
