PAIP

PAIP (pipe) is a universal filter application. It uses plugins to transmit and convert data. The plugins can be nested, so the inner structures can become quite complex (non-linear). The command-line interface is similar to human language and is quite easy to use.

Release Notes: Makefiles have been fixed, the plugin 'socket' has been extended with the 'connections' switch, and two new using-plugins (jpg2bmp and gif2bmp) have been added.

Release Notes: The HTTP and FTP plugins can now use proxies. The help-plugin was extended with the 'detailed' switch. Proxy ports are set to 3128 by default. A segfault in the FTP-plugin was fixed. A new plugin called 'translate', which replaces words in ASCII text, was added. The FTP-plugin will now send "QUIT" after an upload is complete, which solves problems with the WinNT FTP-daemon. The help for the dump-plugin was fixed.

Release Notes: FTP plugin upgraded to allow uploads. Compiler warnings in telnet plugin fixed. "end-of-stream" bugs in the buffer plugin and socket plugin fixed. Help plugin updated.

Release Notes: A new using-plugin 'telnet', a fix for a bug in merge-plugin, and a fix for the accept-handler routine in the socket-plugin.

Release Notes: An HTTP plugin bug (plugin swallowed too many bytes after the HTTP header) has been fixed. End-of-stream handling has been improved. The chain and buffer plugins have been updated.
