OsiriX is an image processing software dedicated to DICOM images produced by medical equipment (such as MRI, CT, PET, and PET-CT) and confocal microscopy (LSM and BioRAD-PIC format). It can also read many other file formats: TIFF, JPEG, PDF, AVI, MPEG, and Quicktime. OsiriX is able to receive images transferred by DICOM communication protocol from any PACS or medical imaging modality. OsiriX has been specifically designed for navigation and visualization of multimodality and multidimensional images.

Release Notes: This release adds 64 bit support (up to 128TB of RAM, instead of 4GB), Magnetic Windows, a DICOM Editor which can edit any DICOM fields, a "See Meta-Data" window, 3D Settings (thumbnails, shading, CLUT, opacity, etc.), a local database in the "Sources" area, better interpolation for zoom, registration (points based, rigid), editable image annotations (see Preferences), DICOM CoverFlow, Icon Thumbnails, and QuickLook plugins, and a built-in HTTP Server with XML-RPC protocol support for HIS/RIS Integration.
Release Notes: Advanced CLUT is used in 16-bit for volume rendering. A volume in 3D VR/MIP can be restored with scissors. A repulsor tool was added for ROIs. Undo and redo were added for ROIs editing. A growing region can be previewed. A selected patient can be queried and retrieved. Split/combine options (database preferences) were added for CR, XA DF. An option to anonymize before burning was added. Templates for anonymization were added.
