Version 1.2 of OrientDB

Release Notes: New server-side functions were provided. These are like stored procedures for RDBMS but in JavaScript. New record level security was provided, and the profiler now generates snapshots of metrics. JMX is now a plugin and is no longer installed by default. An automatic rebuild of the schema index is performed on restart after a crash/hard shutdown. A new EXPLAIN SQL command allows you to profile any command, and a LET keyword can be used to set context variables. support for sub-queries in CREATE EDGE was provided. The Object Database JPA interface now supports a configurable naming policy. New abstract classes were provided. Automatic backup can now start at a concrete time. 65 bugs were fixed in total.

      Release Notes: A new eval() function for executing expressions, new if() and ifnull() functions, support for server-side configuration for functions, new DELETE VERTEX and DELETE EDGE commands, execution of database functions from SQL commands, and a new create cluster command. Two graph algorithms were bundled: Dijkstra and ShortestPath between vertices. Opening time when a connection is reused from the pool was improved. Management of indexes in ORDER BY was improved. The schema has a new API for handling custom fields. HTTP/REST has support for fetch-plan and limit in "command".

          Release Notes: This release adds a new distributed server architecture with a balance of workload, full replication, and management of failures, a new MMAP manager optimized for 64bit OSes, new support for binary keys and collections in composite keys in Index, support for in-memory database replication, Object Database support for attaching/detaching, ENUM and binary data (ORecordBytes), a DROP CLUSTER command for SQL, INSERT which supports clusters, and new CREATE VERTEX and CREATE EDGE commands, support for the Gephi visual tool, and 50 bugfixes.
