There were also many other minor improvements and bugfixes.
Release Notes: New features include full HTML composing support (including inlined message and sound), HTTP compression support, an improved POP3 implementation, forward/autoreply for virtual users, use of a Web cache on the results of some operations, and a new syntax 'DEFAULT_...' in openwebmail.conf. Release Notes: A new option 'symboliclink_mbox' has been added to openwebmail.conf. Two options 'confirm before msg move/copy' and 'filter msgs with faked exe contenttype' were added to the user preferences. openwebmail.pl has been split into two programs for better performance, the global filter rule has been updated to catch new viruses, and many minor bugs were fixed.
