Release Notes: This release fixes several reported XSS (cross-site scripting) vulnerabilities. Languages and character sets in OpenWebMail have now been standardized on ISO-3066. UTF-8 character sets are now generated during system setup for almost all languages. Timezones can now be supported from the system zoneinfo file. Changelogs are now generated from SVN.
Release Notes: A number of security vulnerabilities have been addressed in this release. Addressbook quick selection is now available. Using either SentDate and Received Date as a message timestamp is supported. Message indexing speed was doubled. A silent title bar "unread message count" notification was implemented.
Release Notes: This release features greatly improved multiple charset support, attachment deletion support in reading messages, file permission modification support in Webdisk, displaying a message with its own charset, multiple global address book support, and URL support in file uploading. It also fixes a problem with unexpected process death because of an aborted piped child, huge memory usage because of improperly handling of a disconnected POP3 server, improperly parsing of DEFAULT_* options, and problems with global address book corruption because of running conversion for more than once.
Release Notes: This release has a new vCard compliant addressbook, charset support in calendar, speed improvements in the mail filter, and per-user spamassassin configuratin file editing support. It also fixes the following problems: the Perl $1 taintness bug in some version of Perl, the problem that some pam modules doen't check the old passwd before changing the passwd, the "application bug: perl5.8.3 has SIGCHLD set to SIG_IGN but calls wait()..." warning in the system log on Linux systems, and the "recursive call...,out of memory!" error in the httpd error log.
Release Notes: This release has the following changes: a new option enable_globalfilter, a learnspam icon, and better support for unofficial charsets. It also fixes the too many zombie processes problem with Perl 5.8.4 or later, the incorrect size and message count summary of folders in some cases, the improperly parsed DEFAULT options in the config file, and the incorrect import/export address book routines that didn't handle fields with comma or multiple lines.
Release Notes: Support for virus scanning using clamav, spam checking with SpamAssassin, spamlearn support, background mail filtering, MS-TNEF support, lightbar quick selection, multiple message forwarding, auto-login, speed improvement for large folders, and two security fixes. There were also many other minor improvements and bugfixes.
Release Notes: This release features a largely modified maildb.pl that fixed the 'inconsistence db index' and 'mail filter i/o error' problems, a new auth_ldap_vpopmail.pl auth module, support for text/reiched content types, POP3 over SSL, and check_expire and change_smbpasswd in auth_unix.pl, an improved mail parser, a fix for the timezone bug when composing a new message, two security fixes, and many other minor improvements and bugfixes.
Release Notes: This release adds a system scripts hierarchy rearrangement, moving user files from ~user/mail/.* to ~user/.openwebmail/ for better compatibility with IMAP servers, a code cleaning and performance improvement (3-10x speedup in folder indexing, 30% speedup in mail filtering, 95x speedup in folder writing over NFS), DHTML calendar popup windows support, MSWord attachment previewing, improved spellchecking, and many other improvements and bugfixes. There's a new demo site at www.postman.net, which provides signup of new Webmail accounts for free.
Release Notes: A new authentication module, auth_nis.pl, was added for NIS/YP system. Some speedup was achieved by caching all config file in memory, with a heavily rewritten readconf() routine, and by using IGNORE instead of waiting for a CHLD signal. This release also fixes the following problems: an insecure dependency error on some platform with new perl 5.8, a problem with DST time auto switch one month late, and the bug in addressbook in which the ampersand ("&") and comma (",") characters were always stripped out.
Release Notes: New features include symlink support in webdisk, the ability to show HTML as text, a bad format from filter, an enhanced openwebmail-vdomain.pl, userstat.pl, and some new options in openwebmail.conf. This release also fixes a problem with the update/read/lock error in DBM access, the 'xxx out of range" bug in calendar, the DST time one hour shift bug in auto mode, the personal dictionary error in spellcheck, and the session timeout warning problem.
