Release Notes: Bugfixes on the chat balloon to allow for more room with emotions, support for running a personal OpenVerse server with one button click rather than having to edit a config file by hand, changes to the server code to allow for remote administration via FTP, better visual cues when changing rooms, and stripping of carriage returns from outgoing chat for better cut and paste from other applications.
Release Notes: Several new "emotions" for balloons, including "idea", "steam", and "love", support for IRC-style colors in text, color in some system messages, the state of the log file is now displayed in a better way, and a problem with failed downloads has been fixed.

Release Notes: Many changes which improve functionality on the Macintosh. There are still some Mac-related problems but it should be useable now. New client-side censorship functions--ignore those users who are annoying you. New special chat type (sing). Users now have the ability to use a different toolbar style; one named "NotFun" is included. A reduced number of items in menus is displayed to the user. Many quick keys for OpenVerse functions were added. Built-in help system was improved. Several problems were fixed with the download code. Should be ROCK STABLE now. A problem with windows fonts in the help system was fixed.
Release Notes: Several bugfixes, finally got rid of the ghost name tag, bubble help for all buttons on the main window, and full embeded help.
Release Notes: Button coloring is now optional so that the application can use the system colors, private messages will now look different in the text chat window so you can tell them apart from public messages, new DCC-Style download code is being used for room transfers, the client will now know when the selected avatar exceeds the server limits, http, mailto, and ftp URLS now call the configured browser when OPEN is selected on them, it's now easier to see icons for URLs, new setup options including the option to NOT download avatars from remote users have been added, and a plugins web page has been started.
Release Notes: Due to a trademark issue. the name of the application has been changed from Metaverse to OpenVerse. This new version contains some bug fixes, many changes to accomodate the new name, server will now limit the size of user's avatars, docs have been started, most features are documented, the text chat window now fully resizeable and contains scroll lock ability.
Release Notes: Implemented file transfers between users (the transfers use ircII's DCC protocol now since the old one was quite broken), you should find it much faster and more reliable to download images and upload images, many bug fixes which were reported and some new features. A webcam plugin for avatars and a MP3 plugin for exchanging songs with your Meraverse friends are currently in the works.
Release Notes: Many changes to the base code provide an entry point for plugins (a sample plugin is included which does user query mode), security-related changes (all users should upgrade), a fix for problems for Windows users with spaces in the pathname where Metaverse is installed, lots of bug fixes and new features including private messages and whois enhancements, two new server commands, a URL for sending URLs to other users. and SUB, which is intended to be a sub channel for server/client plugins to communicate.
Release Notes: Plugin Support has been started and the first plugin included in the distro (Private Message Query mode), many bug fixes have been made, mostly in the client, many color options in the client are now configurable, the Text Chat window is resizeable vertically, there are no more popup download windows, and lots of new commands and many new user-suggested features have been added.
