openSteam

openSteam is a generic e-commerce framework for Ruby on Rails. Its goal is to simplify the implementation of a Web shop. It features a generator to create a Web shop quickly, generators to create products and properties, a shopping cart, a checkout process, inventory entry for products or specific product configurations, and an administrative backend to overview customer and order information.

    Release Notes: This release is compatible with Rails 2.1. You can now create Invoices and Shipments for an Order and even for Order Items, mark an Order, Invoice, or Shipment as 'pending' or 'finished', or create your own states and state-specific logic using modules. A whole new admin backend was provided for overviewing and processing orders and managing admins and customers. Sortable and searchable tables were provided in the admin backend. A simple search form was included.
