OpenSG

OpenSG is an Open Source scenegraph system. Its design goals include high performance, multithread-safe data handling, high flexibility, extensibility, and portability to Irix, Linux, and Windows. A number of computer graphics research institutions are actively working on moving the system beyond the state of the art to include features like clustering, subdivision surfaces, occlusion culling, and more.

Release Notes: This release contains a lot of additions and fixes. It includes a 120 page introductory tutorial, CG/GLSL support, much improved texture support (NPOT, 16 images/8 coords, SGIS_generate_mipmap, compression, and DDS files), user controllable material sorting, more robust binary file format, volume rendering, NURBS, general rendering optimizations, and much more.

Release Notes: The main focus of this release is restyling, restructuring, and documentation. A lot of the latter has been added, and the formerly separate starter guide is included. The main new feature is support for the ARB_vertex_program and ARB_fragment_program extensions.

Release Notes: The main additions are lots of ports (MS Visual Studio .NET, MS Visual Studio 6/Intel 6, gcc 3.x, HP-UX, and Mac OS X (partial)) and support for clusters. Other changes include support for multi-/cube- and volume textures, as well as particles and some stereo features.

No changes have been submitted for this release.
