      Release Notes: MailScanner was updated to version 4.46.2 with an improved phishing net for JavaScript. A highlight Phishing fraud option was added along with the ability to quarantine all mail that has been modified and a Scan Messages option to completely disable processing of a particular mail address. ClamAV was updated to 0.87 and SpamAssassin(SA) was updated to 3.1.0 with many plugins and MCP patches for better spam/MCP filtering. A openprotect-test utility that sends test virus, spam, and clean mail to verify the setup was added along with openprotect-renew, which installs a KAV license and views expiry status. razor 2.77 with various bugfixes was included.

        Release Notes: MailScanner was updated to 4.43.6-1, which has several fixes and new features to handle archives and HTML messages. URIBL_JP_SURBL was added from SURBL for more accurate spam detection. ClamAV was updated to 0.86.1, which fixes a DOS attack vulnerability when handling compressed archives. Razor2 was updated to 2.72, which fixes a denial of service attack when handling certain malformed messages. The Compress-Zlib, File-Temp, and ExtUtils-MakeMaker perl modules were updated. Rules Du Jour was updated to 1.21 to include updated SA rulesets like SARE. An automatic warning is now given to the admin if a new version of OpenProtect is released.

          Release Notes: This release adds djbdns to cache RBL lookups and faster SA-based spam detection. It reduces DNS related spam checks like SURBL and RBL checks by around 0.4 to 0.8 seconds. Updated to MailScanner-4.41.3-1 with better phishing support and rar support. Updated to SA-3.0.4 with support for faster, better URI checks and bayes checks. Updated to ClamAV-0.85.1, which detects more viruses. Modules installation has been changed for more graceful handling of errors. DB_File has been added for faster Bayesian database under SA (needs db and db-devel to function properly).

            Release Notes: This release adds SA 3.0.2 with SURBL support for faster Spam Scanning. RazorV2 has been added for a faster and more accurate spam classification through SA. Overall memory/CPU usage of SA has been reduced by over 50 MB by deleting bigevil, and instead using SURBL.

              Release Notes: This release updates to MailScanner 4.37.7-1, SpamAssassin 3.02, and ClamAV 0.83. It adds an option to clean the quarantine directory, updates the Perl modules and zlib, fixes a bug where disabling/enabling was done twice, changes the qmail module for a cleaner, faster algorithm, adds an automated conf-split for incoming qmail queues, fixes the Postfix header_checks file ownership, changes the automatic cron startup to be aware of the disabled state, and fixes a bug where AV updates were done twice during the install.

                Release Notes: This release included MailScanner 4.32.5-1, SpamAssasssssin 2.64, ClamAV 0.75.1, and Kaspersky 5.0.4.0. The Qmail module was rewritten for faster and more reliable processing. RulesDuJour was added for automatic SpamAssassin ruleset updating. Support for configuring http_proxy for Kaspersky, ClamAV, RulesDuJour was added in the installer. Support for Postfix versions newer than 2.0 using a single MTA configuration was added. ClamAV is now compiled from source.

                  Release Notes: MailScanner was updated to 4.29.7-1. SpamAssasssssin was updated to 2.63. ClamAV was updated to 0.70-1. Kaspersky was updated to 5.0.2.0. Support was added for some advanced spam catching using BigEvil, AntiDrug, BackHair, ChickenPox, and SA-BlackList. Support was added for qmail with the "big todo" patch. A RegEx bug was fixed in qmail queue files parsing code. A bug in Kaspersky installation that prevents proper virus scanning in qmail under certain distros was fixed. A bug in reloading postfix was fixed.

                    Release Notes: The rc directories link has been fixed for SuSE and Mandrake. Installation under architectures other than i386 has been fixed. The OpenTunnel Support package is optional. One redundant input during qmail enable has been removed. A default value in openprotect-enable has been fixed. Stale lock files in /tmp and other scripts in /usr/bin are deleted during uninstallation. There is better pattern matching for IP address in the Qmail module.

                      Release Notes: A critical bug in the qmail queue file parsing module was fixed. Users of qmail should upgrade immediately. A bug in the init script for Gentoo and Slackware was fixed. A bug which occurred when qmail's sendmail program was not linked to /usr/sbin/sendmail was fixed. An option to install Kaspersky alone after installing OpenProtect was added. Modules are now installed after prompting the user for permission to install KAV, ClamAV, SA, Perl modules, etc. The installer can detect MailScanner configuration files from a previous version and use them for the new installation.
