Release Notes: This release fixes handling of $CC when it contains directory names. It fixes Fortran 90 status array dimensions, and fixes some compiler warnings. pbs-config is used if it can be found, and the rsh launcher is slightly more robust. The btl_openib_ib_pkey_value MCA parameter has been added.

The ability to set limits on registered memory usage.
Release Notes: This release adds much-improved MPI collective algorithms, general performance improvements throughout the code base, improved runtime support, support for MPI-matching networks such as Myrinet MX and QLogic InfiniPath, and new support for Sun platforms (Solaris, Sun Studio compilers, N1GE/Grid Engine resource managers, and uDAPL networks). It supports several compilers, including those from GNU, Intel, Portland, Pathscale, and Sun Studio. It improves support for heterogeneous execution environments to accommodate differences in CPU architectures and adapter capabilities.

Release Notes: Many bugfixes, including fixes to MPI interface functions (C, C++, F77, and F90), updates to support various compilers and platforms, various mVAPI and OpenIB feature and correctness fixes, I/O forwarding fixes, an updates to the algorithm to search for executables on remote nodes. Release Notes: Assembly on Solaris AMD and compilation errors on IRIX were fixed along with long send-to-self messages and matching out-of-order fragments with multiple network devices. The system now ensures that memory hooks are used when "leave_pinned" is used. TCP latency was improved. The MPI_TESTANY, MPI_SCATTERV, MPI_F_STATUS[ES]_IGNORE, and MPI_WIN_NULL C and Fortran functions and symbols were fixed. C++ const casts and MPI_Offset were fixed. Integer hostnames are now allowed. Scalability of MX startup was improved, and EOF handling on stdin was fixed along with sm btl and iof and handling of --with-wrapper-ldflags.
