OpenFTS (Open Source Full Text Search engine) is an advanced PostgreSQL-based search engine that provides online indexing of data and relevance ranking for database searching. Close integration with the database allows the use of metadata to restrict search results.

      Release Notes: This release adds a synonym dictionary and fixes several bugs in the new ispell code.

        Release Notes: This release uses tsearch instead of intarray. It adds interfaces to ispell dictionaries and snowball stemmers, and Cygwin compatibility. It enhances the default parser to recognize integers and HTML entities. Ranking functions can now optionally normalize document weights by their sizes. This release works with PostgreSQL 7.2.2 and later.
