Open DP-500 is a replacement for the PC-Link software that comes bundled with the KiSS Technology DP-500 DiVX/DVD player, which streams movies, music, and pictures from an ethernet-connected computer. It is written in Java.

Release Notes: Since the latest incarnations of the firmware (2.6.7 and 2.6.8), the playback of audio and video over the network was broken because of changes in the protocol. This has been resolved now.


Release Notes: Playlist-management was added to the menu interface on the DP-500. A built-in Web interface has been added to display status information. Furthermore, the code has been cleaned up.
