The OpenCOE project provides an implementation of the publicly-available DII COE APIs. The Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (DII COE) is an initiative of the Defense Information System Agency to provide a common set of resources and procedures for system administration and security across multiple platforms. The OpenCOE project is not in any way affiliated with or sponsored by DISA.

Release Notes: This release includes an IzPack GUI installation, changes supporting automated ant builds, and changes supporting an automated test framework. This release also marks the transition to the new Website. New installation procedures can also be found on the Web site. The Java SE 1.4.2 has been rolled back to Java SE 1.4.0 due to some problems with nested application launches observed in ApplicationManager/UAM_Manager.
Release Notes: Unit Test Cases for all kernel segments, and numerous bugfixes associated with these tests. Apache Ant replaces the home grown Makefile.coe for building/installation. Man/help pages for COE documented APIs. Inclusion of a sample repository/segment at /h/COE/data/NET_SERVER.
Release Notes: This release focuses primarily on improving Perl script security with wide application of the strict mode and -T taint flag. Some tweaks were made to the sudoers file to allow delegation of segment installation. Initial work was begun on making the COE independent of file system and directory layout.
Release Notes: This release has improvements to the COE installer, including preliminary support for FTP downloads and the ability to select segment installation directories. There are minor bugfixes.
