Great project!
I´m just starting with OpenBSD (coming from FreeBSD) and was looking for something like FreeBSD´s portupgrade when i found it.
Keep doing this good job.
By the way - Is this in the OBSD ports tree??

my apologies
Again, my apologies to you. I shouldn't have done it. Later I realized the sense it could make.

The oft-used, tired refrain of spammers everywhere
> I only wanted to share with you my [...,]

Heard that from hundreds of spammers.

> project, because i want to test it and see if it works okay :(

How about posting to USENET in an appropriate newsgroup? The OpenBSD user mailing lists, if that's acceptable to their list managers?

I don't have any machines running OpenBSD. Your mail is therefore poorly targetted and a waste of my time and resources, no matter how well-meaning you may have been.

> Please excuse me if you felt 'spammed',

I did not "feel spammed". I *was* spammed. Your mail was not solicited, not wanted, and not useful in any way, shape or form to me. The only possible beneficiary in the transaction is you.

> i thought you were interested in *BSD.

I *am* interested in *BSD. FreeBSD, specifically, as we use it in production environments. However, our model does not allow for ports to be updated, because we use a model where the OS is merely a platform for running specific applications in a custom jailed environment. I have no use for your tool, and indeed no way to test your tool even if I was running OpenBSD, which I'm not. Your thinking that I am interested in *BSD does not equate to permission to mail me, and is not in itself a good reason to.

> I tried to notice the BSD Users Groups to give it a go and have a bit more testers. Again, Excuse me.

People make mistakes, but spamming is a bad one. There are acceptable ways to promote projects within the *BSD communities without resorting to spam.

Sick of unsolicited e-mail,

Please excuse me if you felt 'spammed', i thought you were interested in *BSD. I tried to notice the BSD Users Groups to give it a go and have a bit more testers.
Again, Excuse me.

Don't use this crappy spammer's project
The luser running this project is spamming to promote it. Do NOT encourage this project and e-mail spam by using this moron's software.

new lists of packages, upgrade your system to the latest snapshot/to -stable, fe
tch the ports tree, install, and keep your ports up to date. openbechede logs it
