Release Notes: AIX 6.1 support. FreeBSD 7.0 client support. OpenSolaris/Nevada support for newer versions. Support for Linux 2.6.26. A -nojumbo command line option for jumbogram support. A bug where jumbograms were still sent when they were disabled has been fixed. A -noresolve option has been added to all vos commands. This permits the display of servers by IP address instead of DNS name. Updated and expanded man pages.

Release Notes: Unicode support was added. A file server lock synchronization error that affected roaming profiles was fixed. VNOVOL error handling was improved, which prevented proper fail over when volumes are moved or removed from a server. Fail over to alternate vl servers if a ubik error is returned. AIX 6 now supported. FreeBSD 7 is now supported. Cache bypass is now supported in Linux. 2.6.x kmod compilation now uses kernel compile options always. Linux through version 2.6.27 is supported. The default is to use namei rather than inode in Solaris 10. In all Unix clients, disconnected AFS now supports read-write mode and volserver now builds correctly.

Release Notes: There are many changes on Windows. On NetBSD, broken sigwait() has been worked around to allow the fileserver to shut down correctly pre NetBSD 5.0. On all platforms, potential corruption of directories during salvage is avoided.

Release Notes: Unicode character set support, improvements in layering and garbage collection in SMB code, substantial documentation updates, a new NSIS installer instead of a VC runtime, fixes for spurious VNOVOL errors with volser and recloned volumes on all platforms, and updated TSM X/Open API support. The Demand Attach fileserver will no longer crash due to accesses during volume cloning. Support was added for updates to OpenSolaris. Linux RPM packaging materials were updated for the 1.5 release series and 2.4 kernels. This release is the recommended production release for all Microsoft Windows environments.

Release Notes: This is a testing-only release, and not currently available for Windows. A number of optimizations discussed at the AFS and Kerberos Best Practices Workshop are included here for testing, including read-only disconnected support. An updated disconnected AFS patch is included.

Release Notes: Rx optimizations now attempt to deal with high latency WANs. The fileserver avoids a potential infinite loop when a client relinquishes an address. The fileserver large setting now configures more threads. The fileserver properly registers uuids of new clients. Client will not wait infinitely for a server that is not providing data. Fileservers reserve enough file descriptors such that each thread can cache one to avoid spurious errors. On Windows, a reference count leak in the file server has been fixed, udebug is prevented from crashing, and another VNOVNODE issue has been fixed.

Release Notes: This release contains a number of client and server bugfixes. The file server now avoids a potential network-related deadlock when breaking callbacks.
