Release Notes: Notable changes include updates for newer Linux kernels (including 2.6.25), Solaris 11 client support updates, updated Mac OS X support, a fix for a potential fileserver deadlock, improvements to the host tracking in the fileserver, and updates to ubik to prevent database truncation when network links between database servers are unreliable. There are fixes to the Linux client support as well as additional resource cleanup.

Release Notes: A Demand Attach Fileserver shutdown bug which could cause a crash was corrected. 32-bit installers are now built with Visual Studio 2005. All vos.exe commands now support the "-noresolve" option, which forces the display of IP addresses instead of DNS hostnames. On all Unix platforms, the pthreaded versions of the ubik server and client programs are now available. Fixes were made for Fedora Core 9 and Linux 2.6.25. Mount points are filled correctly when using fakestat.

Release Notes: System clock reversing is handled in the Rx event handler. Partitions greater than 2 terabytes are supported in vos and the server processes. For Microsoft Windows event logging was fixed. A timeout problem when opening files or requesting locks when the file in question is already write-locked by another machine was fixed. A deadlock that can occur when "fs flushall" is executed was fixed. A crash in smb_WriteData that would occur if an application opened the file as read-only and then sent a write request anyway was fixed.

Release Notes: Documentation was updated for all platforms. A file server FID leak was corrected. Rx library performance was improved. For Microsoft Windows, the ability to browse \\AFS with "NET VIEW" and the Explorer Shell was restored. Support for the 16-bit application environment was restored. The AFS System Tray tool (afscreds) returns permission denied errors when Vista User Account Control blocks actions. Tokens are no longer discarded in response to RXKADBADTICKET errors. For all Linux systems, s390x support was corrected. Updated RPM packaging. A port for ARM Linux was added.

Release Notes: A race condition on Windows was fixed in the BPlus Tree directory lookups, which could result in either an incorrect FID lookup or a crash. A race condition in directory update synchronization for Windows was fixed. Sequential ordering of requests has been added to request synchronization on Windows. This will significantly reduce the problem of CIFS/SMB client timeouts due to multiple simultaneous asynchronous I/O requests being issued by Microsoft Office applications (and others). A fileserver locking issue that applies to all platforms has been fixed.

Release Notes: This release fixes a crash in the B+ Tree code that occurred when a file rename only resulted in a change of case.

Release Notes: Mac OS X Leopard support has been added. Solaris 10 update 4 is now supported. Linux kernels through 2.6.24 are known to work. A large number of fileserver bugs and usability issues have been addressed.

Release Notes: Bugfixes and cleanups for all platforms. The Windows version is now considered stable. volserver has been added. Large files (>2Gb) are supported on systems with large file support, although HP-UX has not been verified for this.
