Projects / OPCODE

Opcode is a small collision detection library. It works on all meshes (convex or non-convex), even polygon soups. The current implementation uses AABB-trees.

Release Notes: The configure script was extended with a check for gcc's version. This check is necessary to avoid run-time errors when compiling with gcc versions >= 3.0 and optimizing with -O2.

I think I found a case where the OBB is not working. I posted code here: . These are actually two complete programs. One uses an AABB, the other an OBB, otherwise they are identical. The matrix for the orientation of the OBB is the identity, so the bounding boxes in the two programs should be identical. I even check that as well as possible. However, the AABB reports a collision and the OBB does not.

OPCODE is a good library that seems to be in wide use. However, I could not find a site with forum, relevant faq, wiki, or something similar just for OPCODE. Maybe it would be a good idea to have something like this here on freshmeat?
