OOo4Kids is a simplified version of OpenOffice.org intended for year 7-12 students. Everything is made in collaboration with teachers and students, with the intention of contributing back to Apache OpenOffice.

    Release Notes: A Polish translation was added. Several security issues have been fixed, including PNG and JPG handling and a new version of libwpd. 6 MB (Linux) and 17 MB (Windows) were saved in the install set without loss of features. Annotation mode was improved with Impress (the contextual menu has been reorganized). 16:9 and 16:10 were added as file formats for Impress and Draw. Algorithms were optimized to reduce the memory footprint when changing slides including annotations.

      Release Notes: The StartCenter behavior was simplified and improved. 4 new locales have been added: Greek, Danish, Russian, and Ukrainian. It is now possible to change the user level "on the fly", with the "User Level" menu entry. The Presenter Screen feature has been integrated. 2 new ports have been completed (OpenBSD and Linux ARM). More than 10 crashes and several bugs have been fixed. The total installed size decreased by 10MB.

        Release Notes: A Ukrainian translation was added. A path issue when saving a new document with Portable OOo4Kids on Windows was fixed. A visual bug in StartCenter for Norwegian was fixed. A missing umlaut in StartCenter for German was fixed. Archive size was decreased by 3 MB. A bad Italian translation in the help was fixed. All autocorrection options are now unchecked by default. The icons in Writer for bold, underline, and italic were improved. Calc sheets may now have a maximum of 256 lines and 64 columns. "White flash" in Impress was fixed.

          Release Notes: In Impress, the pen color and size can be changed and annotations can be written and erased. Two cursive fonts are now shipped (Ecolier). Thirteen locales are now supported, and the new ones are Arabic, Slovenian, and Norwgian Bokmal. The equation editor was improved, including new symbols for formulas. New icons were added for the toolbars in Calc, depending on the user level. Several default options (in Calc and Impress) were modified.
