offmirror
offmirror is a utility for mirroring a tree of files. Unlike other mirroring tools, it works offline and does not require a network or some kind of direct connect between the source and the destination. offmirror makes it possible to place all the data that is needed to synchronize a file tree onto a removable storage medium. Offmirror works with regular files, directories, symbolic links, and special files.

Release Notes: The list file record format was changed. The -no-user-group option was added to offmirror-untar.pl. The -list.pl, -host=HOST, and -dir=DIR options were added to offmirror to override these fields in the generated list header. The -ignore-tar-errors option was added to offmirror-tar.pl, as was a workaround for a cygwin tar bug which caused it to return 1 always.
