Release Notes: The configuration process of the clients is easier and more straightforward. A unified channel control functionality is provided in the form of the new nrh-ctrl command, which dramatically shortens the administrative overhead. It includes the nrh-mirror-updates script, which enables you to easily mirror updates from an upstream up2date server.
Release Notes: New 'search for the latest package list' functionality was added. Additional commands are now available from nrh-ctrl. The RPM was fixed not to include /usr/bin/python2 as a dependency, and notes about RHAS were added to INSTALL.
Release Notes: Problems with Red Hat 9 have been fixed. Additions include "-extra" channels, APPLET functionality, an nrh-mirror-updates script, an http:///XMLRPC versus http:///cgi-bin/XMLRPC solution, and a complete rewrite of the repository maintenance code.
Release Notes: Unnecessary warnings to the apache error log have been fixed. The client system id was not being updated correctly when the client was upgraded to a new RH release. All of the code has been converted to work in the Red Hat 8.0 environment.
Release Notes: The dependency resolution list has been converted to a db3 database, thus solving this performance bottleck--lookups are hundreds of times faster. A bug was detected and solved in dependency resolution (the server did not take into account the package epoch, thus resulting in "unresolvable dependency chain" message from the clients in certain cases). A script has been added to generate a package list from a given set of packages (nrh-generate-pkglist).
