noffle is a news (nntp) server optimized for few users and low speed dial-up connections to the Internet. It adds offline reading capabilities to existing news readers.

Release Notes: This version adds a new '-U' option to undo the effects of reading an article (i.e. downloading its body from upstream if not downloaded). It switches the output from 'noffle -- article all' from the previous ad-hoc format to 'rnews' format. There are also some sundry bugfixes.
Release Notes: Lots of bug fixes were made. In particular, online mode should work again. A configuration option was added to specify whether a Reply-To should be generated when a message is posted. An 'auth' option was added to '--server' to switch on client authentication, if it is not normally enabled.

On the reliability front, some potential causes of newsbase corruption on disc full or disc failure have been removed. Message IDs on posted messages are only replaced by default if they are not valid.
