Release Notes: An error in the configure script which occurred when exceptions were not found was fixed. A few problems that occurred when NGETCACHE != NGETHOME were fixed. Problems with -a and servers that don't support newsgroup descriptions or return weird results were fixed. Absolute paths are now allowed in --text=mbox:<filename>, and tab is supported as the field separator in XPAT results.
Release Notes: This version reduced cache file size, fixed a problem with multiple posts with the same subject/author not downloading when using -K, added IPv6 support, added an NGETRC environment variable, extended the removal of identical dupe downloaded files to also cover incomplete/broken files, added "update" and "updateage" -R keywords, fixed par2 handling of files with non-lowercase names, and fixed compilation with GCC 3.4
Release Notes: A bug in the knapsack algorithm that in some cases could cause a sub-optimal set of par2 files to be retrieved has been fixed. Some cases where config file or command line values weren't error checked have been fixed. The --fullxover arg has been added to override the config file fullxover settings. This release handles a 400 response code better. There are miscellaneous fixes and code cleanups.
Release Notes: This version allows the same server ID to be used for multiple hosts, in order to share header cache data. Extraneous exception information on TCP errors is no longer printed. getopt_long is searched for in libgnugetopt. Handling of incomplete par/par2 files was improved. The handling of incomplete data files was improved when par2 files are available. Compilation with the Mac OS X version of gcc 3.3 was fixed. BSD-style regex word boundaries are supported. PAR1 handling on bigendian systems was fixed.
Release Notes: This version uses gcc's automatic dependency generation, fixes problems with uulib mis-parsing some subject lines, makes -K/--no-decode imply --no-autopar, renames files with decode warnings/errors so they don't cause reposts to be dupeskipped, fixes a sigpipe on broken connection on some platforms, includes better handling of completely damaged par files, and shows autopar status messages by default.
Release Notes: Compilation with gcc-3.3 and a few test cases leaving temp files behind have been fixed.
Release Notes: This release added automatic par/par2 handling, tries harder to decode incomplete files, handles 0-files separately from their attached parts, patched uulib to avoid detecting some text posts as UUdata, no longer retrieves articles by message-id in multi-group mode, fixed duplicate file checking exceptions for filenames starting with ?, updated subterfugue tests to work with Python >= 2.2, fixed a ngetlite segfault on the Opteron, fixed a segfault on empty group names, and fixed the counting of plain text messages.
Release Notes: Support for specifying multiple groups with -g, -G, and -x was added, along with "*" as a special alias for selecting all cached groups, a --dupepath argument for specifying extra directories to search for duplicates, a --timeout argument, and a --decode argument to negate -k and -K. --keep2 was renamed to --no-decode, and ngetlite now makes sure that temporary files for articles don't already exist. Some minor bugfixes were also made.
Release Notes: A fix for a segfault on saving text file if no uulib info was recorded, a fix for a bug introduced in 0.22 where a textfile would be generated even if there were decode errors, and a fix for ngetlite handling of servers that do a shutdown on the socket after an error.
Release Notes: This release added -x and -X options for server-side header and newsgroup searching, extended --makedirs to create missing directories recursively, added a --text option to configure how text posts are handled, and a --save-binary-info option to specify whether to save headers and decode info for posts that contain only binaries. Server penalization was extended to handle servers that give overquota errors without disconnecting, and a fatal_user_errors ngetrc setting was added to make user errors cause an immediate exit. A few bugs were also fixed.
