Release Notes: This version makes 'authentication with username' upon connection with username, verbose, and adds the -f option to control the number of headers to fetch at a time.
Release Notes: The first steps towards threading were taken by adding semaphore includes, adding the -t option to control the number of threads, and moving the normal fetch cycle to a function call. On decoding, the file pointer is now closed and the file is removed right away. An existing tmp-dir no longer causes failure. progress_sub was disabled. Cleanup is now performed when done, removing the tmp-dir and waiting for the threads to finish. Spelling corrections were made.
Release Notes: A quiet option was added, which will cause the program to only output filenames upon retrieval. A failsafe was added for argument parsing to catch unrecognized arguments. The alternative (and faster) ydecoder was added. CRC checking was added for ydecoded parts, which should fix up an aberrant error invoked under RedHat's perl 5.8 when 'binmode()' isn't set on a file-handler.
Release Notes: Apparently, mkdir in Perl5.005 requires 2 parameters. This release has been fixed to handle this.
Release Notes: The ability has been added to specify an output directory ( -o) where all binary files retrieved will be written, instead of writing the files in the current directory. The ability to specify an alternate newsrc file was added ( -n filename). The --sort function called an incorrect subroutine when an unknown parameter was given; this has been fixed. A bug in the 'sort by date' section has been fixed. The progress indicator routine has been fixed. It functions better now, and doesn't have a divide by zero bug.
Release Notes: Flawed regular expression tests have been fixed, resulting in reusing an index from an old file.
Release Notes: Fixes for incompatability with older Perl versions that didn't understand [[:digit:]].
Release Notes: ydec support and --raw write support.
Release Notes: A bug which cuased articles to be retrieved in incorrect order was fixed. This bug prevented articles from being glued together correctly. Extensive error checking was added for correct mode and filename extraction.
