There are major improvements in automatic network discovery, including correct discovery of routers connected via serial link. Windows event log records now can be matched by event source, severity, and event code. The database checking tool (nxdbmgr) was improved. Most platform subagents (especially for Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris) were enhanced and refactored to provide a complete and consistent set of data colection items. Script management and Network Maps were improved in the Management Console.
