The "--medium-type" command line argument now lets you restrict the media types. Weird characters no longer occur in the logfile after a "Queue again later" message.
Release Notes: Support for the generation of playlists from ripped Audio CDs was added. The Nero Digital Audio+ plugin is now also included in the 64-bit package. The temporary folder location is now intelligently determined by required and available size. Several minor bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: The "nerocmd" command line tool was added. The Nero Digital Audio+ plugin is now included in 32-bit versions. Device presence and permission checks were improved. The ASPI layer was improved to avoid deadlocks with certain hardware configurations. The installer now tries to ensure the availability of SCSI Generic support. "Add Files" now also works for Mixed Mode and CD EXTRA. Creation of bootable discs that contain a pure ISO 9660 file system was fixed. The MP3 plugin now correctly interprets the frame size for all bit rates and channel numbers, and for both MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 Layer 3.
Release Notes: The GUI was modified to support small screens such as on the Asus Eee PC. The internal NeroAPI was updated to support many new drives. A new ASPI implementation was introduced supporting HAL and vastly improving hotplug behavior. Several issues with the audio CD engine were fixed. Many minor bugs were resolved.
Release Notes: The new kernel pata_xxx SCSI emulation drivers are now fully supported, and the burn engine has been updated to use them correctly. More pre-burn checks are now made. The "Disc Info" dialog output for DVD-RW was fixed. Fully erasing discs on internal IDE devices with new kernels was fixed. Problems burning DVD ISOs, with handling FreeDB, and with conversion of MP3 files were eliminated.
Release Notes: The MP3 and Ogg Vorbis encoding plug-ins are now configurable. Drag-and-drop is now possible in the "Encode Files" dialog audio files list widget. An error dialog is shown when no FreeDB entry is found while saving. The ALSA driver was fixed to deal correctly with multichannel on all sound cards. Incompatibilities with several distributions were eliminated. Clipboard pasting of multiple items was fixed. Several further bugs were fixed. Italian, Japanese, and Spanish manuals were added, and display of the Korean manual was fixed.
Release Notes: Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD recording support was implemented. Unicode is now fully supported. Drives are only locked when required, to conflict less with automount type systems. Sound through the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) was made default. The GUI was improved to have a look and feel similar to Nero Burning ROM 7, using GTK+ version 2. Native support for 64-bit systems was introduced. Many other options and features were added.
