Release Notes: Authentication can now be done using Membership Provider for SQL Server and MySQL. Flood control was implemented. Messages can be flagged for moderation. Pages can be created through Web administration. Nearforums is now able to run as an IIS subapp. Facebook Connect was migrated to OAuth 2.0.

Release Notes: .NET 4.0 is used as the target framework using ASP.NET MVC 3. All views were migrated to Razor for cleaner markup. An alternate template (layout file) is used for mobile devices. Four bugs were fixed since version 4.1.
