Version 2.02 of NASLite

Release Notes: The USB utility includes the latest stable kernel for increased device compatibility. There is a system ID generation algorithm to eliminate unnecessary sensitivity. Binaries and associated dependencies to eliminate partitioning size restrictions. SATA support to observe features in the new kernel. The kernel has been updated to 2.4.33. The manuals and reference guide have been updated.

Release Notes: NASLite-M2 can serve UPNP, DAAP, SMB/CIFS, NFS, AFP, FTP, HTTP, and RSYNC. It can also stream audio and video content to both DAAP (Digital Audio Access Protocol) and UPNP (Universal Plug and Play) network clients.

Release Notes: NASlite-2 HDD will install to IDE and SATA hard disks as well as solid state IDE devices such as Compact Flash with an IDE adapter, IDE Flash disks, Disk-On-Module, etc. It installs itself in the first 16M of the device with the rest made available for storage.

Release Notes: An AFP server was added for native Mac OS X support. An mDNS (Bonjour) server was added. USB keyboards are fully supported. Up to 4G RAM is supported. WOL software state is supported. Admin user aliases can be used to reboot or poweroff NASLite-2 without the need to enter the Administration Utility. The kernel core was updated to 2.4.35.

Release Notes: The option to synchronize the system clock with an RFC 868 compliant time server was added. Network auto-configuration was changed to optionally use the first or last interface found as selected in the Administration Utility. The kernel core was updated to the latest stable release, 2.4.34. The AAC RAID driver was updated to include support for some HP-branded Adaptec 2610SA controllers.
