NagVis is a visualization add-on for the well known network management system Nagios. NagVis can be used to visualize Nagios data, e.g. to display IT processes like a mail system or a network infrastructure.
|Operating Systems||OS Independent|
Release Notes: This release fixes a couple of minor problems in the NagVis frontend, WUI, and core. The most important change fixes a problem with the text in textboxes, which was not wrapped since 1.5.7.
Release Notes: MKLivestatus backend is the default backend now. You don't need the NDO anymore. Users can choose individual languages from the available ones. This release introduces weathermap lines, allowing you to visualize the load of network connections. The NagVis directory is not below nagios/share anymore. The authentication/authorization mechanism has been recoded. Context menus and automap-to-automap links can be used on the automaps. Automap supports a "problem automap". NagVis Installer supports a transparent update from NagVis 1.4x to 1.5x. There are many other changes.
Release Notes: This release has minor bugfixes concerning the installer and automap, but also includes two interesting new features. The most interesting feature is the new backend called mklivestatus. The backend is a new data provider that fetches the Nagios state information directly from the Nagios process using the NEB module. If you installed the NDO just because of NagVis, you may remove it from your Nagios installation. To be able to use the new backend, you need to extend your Nagios core with the livestatus NEB module.
Release Notes: The map rotation feature has been recoded: map rotation can be stopped and restarted on demand. There is a countdown to the next reload/rotate in the header menu. It can be included to the map in a textbox via macro. You can also define several map rotation pools in the main configuration. Dynamic Favicon has been added to increase comfort when using tabbed browsing Better value validation has been added to prevent incorrect configuration. Performance (map load time) has been improved by up to 50%.
Release Notes: This release adds the options “url_target” and “hover_delay” to icon objects. It removes the backend_id option from demo maps. It adds a permission check to all WUI configuration pages. A bug with incorrectly named files in the map cfg folder has been fixed. A problem with overlaping WUI z-index has been fixed. A white page bug when opening an external URL in rotation has been fixed.
