nagios-notify is a template-based notify script for Nagios. The templates can be easily edited in a text editor. You can change templates without restarting Nagios. With advanced templates, you can send richtext (even images) over jabber if you use nagios-notify-jabber. It depends only on basic Unix utilities.

Release Notes: A minor fix was made for Nagios 3.1 compatability.


Release Notes: Templates and sample config have been renamed to follow the nagios 3.0 naming schema: s/host-notify-by-/notify-host-by-/; s/notify-by-/notify-service-by-/. Primitive support has been added for conditions in templates. $(math) and $(urlencode) handlers for templates have been added.


Release Notes: The $(encode_mime_header:CHARSET,DATA) handler was added. A charset header was added to email templates.


Release Notes: Bugfixes were made for Nagios 3.0. Richtext jabber templates were added. The tool was moved to /usr/lib/nagios since it is not usable in $PATH.
