Release Notes: This release includes a massive overhaul of the configuration and build system, and begins the refactoring that should eventually make this code easier to port and maintain. It has over 200 different game variations and more than 30 different display styles. The default game variation has changed. A few more I/O drivers have been added, including libcaca, Win32 console, TWin, aalib, Allegro, GGI, raw stdio and termios, and Carbon.

• Major feature enhancements

Release Notes: The "tiny" variant was added. The "huge" size was added. Support for CJK terminals and UTF-8 terminals was added, and this requires ncursesw or libslang with UTF-8 support. Many enhancements were made to portability, packaging, and documentation. GNU Make 3.80 or later is now required.
