Version 0.9 of MuSE Streamer

Release Notes: This release is an important compatibility upgrade, bringing full support for Icecast2 Ogg/Vorbis streaming. Other features include: improved engine speed, a new GTK-2 interface, new XML configuration profiles, a new input channel to play uncompressed files (like wav, aiff, or snd), better playlist handling with drag&drop, a crossfader, more command-line switches, support for various login types, a revamped manual page, and fairly complete API documentation for whoever wants to implement new scheduling interfaces for network radio broadcasting.

Release Notes: Several bugfixes have been backported from the development branch, providing better stability, usability, and sound quality. The code has been cleaned up and made compliant with most recent GCC versions; unstable components (ncurses and gtk1 GUIs) are deprecated. This release is well recommended for production use.

Release Notes: Ogg/Vorbis network streams can now be played and mixed, Ncurses console is fixed for proper streaming operation, audio device handling has been rewritten, FIFO pipes have been cleaned up, continuous playmode and commandline encoder options have been fixed, encoding of vorbis is now CBR and works with various samplerates. New experimental features include porting to OSX, Jack support and a time based scheduler for radio automation using GTK2 interface and xml format for playlists.

Release Notes: This release focuses on usage assestments packing a production stable version. Dynamic bitrate change while streaming MP3 now works (Lame encodes CBR once again), linking to mp3lame libs is now optional, a couple of interface functions have been fixed to avoid crashes, and there is a new funny About dialog.
