Muine is an innovative music player. It has a simple interface designed to allow the user to easily construct a playlist from albums and/or single songs. Its goal is to be simply a music player, not to become a robust music management application.

Recent releases


Release Notes: MusicBrainz and Amazon are used for the first album fetching attempts. If MusicBrainz fails, the old Amazon API is used, but now with the Amazon devtag found in GConf. A plugin API was added for adding, removing, and syncing files. An inotify plugin was added, and is installed by default. A new "iPod style" play/pause button was added. Various bugfixes were made. Various updates were done to the documentation and autotools.


Release Notes: The GStreamer backend has been improved and is now the default. The tray icon has been removed from the main build and can be installed separately as a plugin. Various additions to the plugin API have been made, various bugs have been fixed, and translations have been updated.
