Release Notes: This release fixes a problem when UNIT ATTENTION is pending when mtx is started. This can occur if the door is opened on some libraries or the SCSI bus is reset. The change eliminates the requirement to rerun the mtx command. Debian packaging support has been added. The unsupported program nsmhack is no longer built by default nor is included in any of the binary packages. It is still included in the source tar and can be built manually using "make nsmhack".

Release Notes: A core dump caused by invalid inputs was fixed in mtx.c, and the Makefile was changed to work with systems whose 'install' program accepts only one argument. The Exabyte hack in the drive parsing code was uncommented so that it works with ATL loaders again, and a hack to keep ATL stacked loaders from reporting ghost slots was added. AIX support was added with the GSC driver, and __WEIRD_CHAR_SUPPRESS is now the default to stop barcode garbling.

Release Notes: This release fixes a buffer overflow in the bar code parser.

Release Notes: Fixes for some problems with ADIC loaders and DEC TL-800 (problems that may have also occurred with other changers).

Release Notes: Fixes in crontabs on operating systems that provided no stdin for cron jobs.

Release Notes: The problem where mtx did not run from crontabs on some operating systems has been fixed (hopefully). Please see the release notes on Sourceforge project page for more info. Note that this is a pre-release of a possible bug fix, not a production release. This release should be tested before trusting that everything still works and that the bug is actually fixed.

Release Notes: Major bug fixes due to problems with 1.2.12 and DAT autochangers.

Release Notes: This version adds HP/UX support and represents a re-write of the ReadElementStatus command to support robots with multiple arms (though it will still only control the first arm). This may be the final release of 'mtx'.

Release Notes: This release adds major functionality enhancements -- it will handle almost all aspects of tape handling without using the tape driver, now uses GNU autoconf, etc. Please use 1.2.10 if this does not work for you.

Release Notes: A 'loaderinfo' program to list interesting info about loaders and a 'scsitape' program for directly manipulating tape drives have been added. More info is listed by 'tapeinfo'. The changeover to GNU Autoconf has started(tested only on Linux x86).
