Release Notes: MySQL manpage typos were fixed. Debugging info is now printed when INSERT doesn't work on MySQL. A new im_file module was added, which reads from files and pipes. The library no longer needs global variables. Split line bugs were fixed. An option for using local host names with a domain was added.

Release Notes: Modular syslog now automatically detects and compile modules, supports of sysklogd's configuration extensions, has improved tcp modules, and pipe (fifo) support. The poll() function is now used instead of select(). Code is now ANSI C and supports compilers other than gcc such as Irix or Aix cc. It provides more information (ie file and module status) and contains IPv6 support. Man pages have been improved. It now has better signal handling with audit[d].
