Release Notes: This release fixes a remotely-exploitable vulnerability in the ASX parser.
Release Notes: This update consists of major bugfixes, some features and cleanups backported from then 'main' CVS branch, and documentation updates. No new features were backported from the current libavcodec because of compatibility issues. Only users of version 0.90 and below should upgrade.
Release Notes: This is a stable release.
Release Notes: This pre-release contains only backports from the devel (unstable) CVS tree and some documentation/translation updates. The RealVideo and MOV demuxers were improved, and now handle special files better. Some new filters (including the inverse telecine one), SGI image decoding, and NUV encoding have been ported. There are various fixes in most AO/VO drivers and the configure script.
Release Notes: Massive documentation and translation updates. Code bugfixes, including an HWAC 3 fix, Quicktime streaming fixes, iconv/subcp bugfix , a GUI playlist fix, DivX 5.03 support, and -ao PCM's WAV header fixed. Detection (configure) of CDDA, NAS, i18n, SVGAlib, faad2, and LAME has been improved. libmpdvdkit2 has been upgraded to use libdvdcss 1.2.5. The eq2 and bmovl filters were improved and some new ones added: field (deinterlace) and denoise3d (adaptive noise removal filter).
Release Notes: This release is the result of a long bug-hunting period. The most imprtant fixes were made for X11 fullscreen switching, Voxware and Quicktime DLLs, VIDIX Radeon support, the pink screen bug, the crash problem for -vo directx under Cygwin, OGM/Ogg seeking, subtitles, XCD support, floating point support, ffwma2, SPU queueing, missing or early disappearing DVD subtitles, an DVD audio delay (150-300ms) bug, and quicktime streaming.
Release Notes: Several known problems of 0.90-rc2 (and previous versions) were fixed recently in CVS: X11 fullscreen switching (window manager compatibility), Voxware and Quicktime DLLs (broken in some contexts), VIDIX Radeon support cleanup (should really solve the pink screen bugs), -vo directx crashes and garbled picture in Cygwin with some files fixed, OGM/Ogg seeking (broken frames), subtitle fixes, XCD support, fixed ffwma2 (better error resilience), SPU queueing, and a fixe for missing or early disappearing DVD subtitles.
Release Notes: This version contains mainly code cleanups (including rewritten gif89 & svgalib output), warning fixes, and DOCS updates. Several small bugs were fixed and a possible 20% slowdown of libavcodec was solved. The VIDIX part improved a bit, a new driver for the Trident Cyberblade chip was added, and bugs in the Radeon driver were fixed. Vidix now can use svgalib's kernel helper instead of the buggy dha module, and is usable together with the SVGAlib. This version introduces experimental support for XMMS input (demuxer+codecs) plugins too, and support for mp3lame presets has been added.
Release Notes: This version introduces support for Win32 QuickTime codec plugin DLLs, and thus Sorenson 3 video and Qclp, QDMC 1/2 audio. This version also contains Win32/DMO interface support, making Windows Media 9 files playable, even 6ch WMA9. The codec packs have been extended and split, and support for MJPEG 2000 codecs was introduced. Fast HuffYUV en/decoding support was added to libavcodec. A new commandline and config-file parser engine was introduced, and a preview version of the OSD menu system is included. Some GUI GTK code was cleaned up, and the cache bug was fixed. Several small fixes were made, including subtitles and screensaver problems.
