Release Notes: This release adds support for building mpgedit with GCC 4.4.

Release Notes: This release adds support for the LAME info tag when editing CBR-encoded MP3 files.

Release Notes: This release improves the xmpgedit user interface, including better main scrolled window behavior, addition of the edit length field, and additional checks for uncommitted edits. Command line options have been added to xpgedit for scripting support. ALSA audio is supported.

Release Notes: Support for 64-bit platforms was added. Playback API stability when playing multiple files was improved. The xmpgedit algorithm for detecting and reprocessing partially decoded visualization files was improved.

Release Notes: This release fixes an occasional crash in xmpgedit when adjusting the volume after playback has stopped. mpgedit playto start time is fixed, which would play beyond the specified edit time in some circumstances. The command "Copy start time" has been added to the xmpgedit edit menu. mpgedit playback and editing with the -I option is fixed, which would frequently repeat up to a second of material at the start of the edit.

Release Notes: This release now includes the GTK+2 libraries in the xmpgedit for Mac OS X disk image distribution. The command-line mpgedit installation package for OS X was repackaged as a Mac OS X application to enable drag and drop uninstallation. Numerous bugs which occurred during startup of xmpgedit on OS X were fixed.

Release Notes: This release adds MacOS X disk image files for distributing both the commandline mpgedit and the graphical xmpgedit applications.

Release Notes: This release adds support for Mac OSX 10.3. A graphical waveform selector was added to xmpgedit which allows visualization of silence separating the tracks being edited. Automatic editing was added to the command-line mpgedit which searches for silence separating the tracks. A playback decoder was implemented using MAD (MPEG Audio Decoder or libmad). All new features from the 0.71dev branch were merged into this branch.

Release Notes: This release fixes a SIGSEGV in xmpgedit that occurred when editing mp3 files in a read-only directory and attempting to open the PCM waveform editor, fixes a problem with the -X2 option adding invalid XING headers to mono mp3 and stereo/mono MPEG2/MPEG2.5-encoded files, and adds Red Hat 6 and 7 RPM packages for mpgedit, xmpgedit, and documentation to the standard distribution.

Release Notes: This release fixes several serious buffer overrun errors and NULL pointer use problems responsible for frequent crashes of xmpgedit when editing MP3 files encoded at very low bit rates (less than 96kbps), or MPEG2/MPEG2.5 encoded files with the PCM file viewer open. User interface responsiveness has been improved when stopping audio playback of MPEG2/MPEG2.5 encoded files in xmpgedit and mpgedit running in interactive curses mode.
