Release Notes: Quite a few fixes and improvements went into the second release candidate. ID3 handling is safer now, and IDv2 support has been added to the remote control interface. The buffer and general output code received a lot of attention: among other changes, the buffer works properly on Mac OS X, write errors to output are handled, and the interactive experience with the buffer and terminal control has been improved. Flexible rate mode should work again.
Release Notes: This is the first release candidate for version 1.0. It includes a full-featured decoder library and a plugin system for audio output. Testing is mainly needed for building on different platforms and making exotic audio outputs work again. Besides fixing bugs and enabling exotic platforms again, there are no changes to be expected before the final version 1.0.0.
Release Notes: This release enhances the playlist code, fixing the bug which caused reading a playlist from stdin to be impossible and removing the line length (file URL) limit of 1023 characters.
Release Notes: This new beta features new audio output drivers (including new working ALSA ouput, obsoleting libao) and lots of improvements. Major items besides that are the reworked seeking for proper handling of VBR and RVA (ReplayGain et al) support.
Release Notes: Two bugs were fixed, specifically a segmentation fault in HTTP code and wrong HTTP request syntax. The utilization of MIME types was added. Basic parsing of Shoutcast and Winamp playlists (PLS) is now possible.
Release Notes: This beta release accumulates years of development including Debian/Gentoo bugfixes and enhancements from various people. It is the merger (and further development) of the mpg123-thor fork and the 0.59r-gpl from the sourceforge project mpg123. An autotooled build system is now available in addition to a legacy Makefile.
Release Notes: Bugfixes were made. Some options were added, as well as IPv6 support and better stream support.
