Re: it's a still a comin
C++ version is progressing well.. I'll try to get it in the sourceforge CVS server soon. Beta release before the end of the year, been busy with work. It's going to be a KDE application I'm afraid ;)

Use the GUI for this kind of thing.

Well that never happened did it!

mp3mover.pl is still a great program, probably the best at what it does. I die of embarassment when I look at the code though. Anybody still using it these days?

Yeah I'm still working on this (in C++).

It's gonna be so much better! Worth the wait? Nah ;) <i mean yeah>

New version out soon
I actually started a complete rewrte of mp3mover in c++ instead of perl.

Proper object orientation is making things a lot easier (oh OOP is so stupid).

But obviously it's harder because it's c++.

I've just finished writing a regular expression library which uses PCRE to make things a lot easier, and then the rest is easy :)

It will be much nicer and faster when it's done. Maybe a month and it will be out. Someone else is working on a nicer GUI for it.

new release
I'm currently working on a new release. It'll be a complete rewrite of most of the code because the code is so horrible and I wrote it when I was learning perl. Surprising that; considering that, it's the best mp3 renamer on here.

Basically the new version will be modular so you will be able to use the engine for your own interfaces etc.

Re: aaaaaaaages
Man I'm so drunk from last night.

Yeah, I love my girlfriend so much etc. etc.

Haha, and people are using little me's software, funny. What you don't know is the software eats your wife while you're asleep!

Love and hugs and kisses James

No matter what a silly hit counter thinks, mp3mover rocks! The gui is great, but I have roomates dumping 100s of mp3 at a time into my incoming directory so I usually just end up using -pf. Great work on the program though- I wouldn't be able to manage all my music otherwise.

aaaaaaaages
So, I haven't changed anything in ages.

'Cos nobody liked the guiiiiiii! It only went up by like 2 hits.

But it's so nice with a GUI 'cos you can interactively change the songs about and stuff. Ah well :) It needs work anyway.

I'm bored, so I'll probably update loads and loads tonight.
